My Assignment 9/8/11 Science- Science is a way to learn about the natural world and its behavior. To get to a conclusion you have to follow the steps of : Observing, Inferring, Predicting, Classifying, Making Models, Evaluating, and using Scientific Investigations. Observing is to use one or more of your senses (Smell, Feel, Hear, Taste, and See etc.) to gather up information. There are two ways to observe, Quantitative Observation and Qualitative Observation. Quantitative Observation is dealing with numbers or amounts such as weight and height. Qualitative Observation is when you give a description which is not dealing with numbers like for example “the flower is bright yellow with spots”. Then comes Inferring. The process of inferring is when you explain or clarify the objects you observe. They are based on what you already know about the object. After inferring you will Predict Predicting is a statement or claim about something that is going to happen in the future based on past experience and evidence. Later, you will Classify. Classifying is grouping items or objects that are alike in various ways into groups. When you finish with classifying you move on to Making Models. When you’re making models you are creating representations of complex objects or processes. After that you will Evaluate. When your evaluating you are comparing observations and data to get to a conclusion about them. Last but not least you will you will do a Scientific Investigation. First you would want to ask a question about the topic. Then you find a way to answer your question. And lastly you do the action needed to be done to find out the answer.

277 words My favorite subject is Math and Science. The reason why I like math is because I like playing around with the numbers and brain teasing myself with many equations. To be honest the one I like the most is multiplication, to me its fun and easy! I like science because it teaches me a lot bout how the universe works and its many wonders. I like learning new things and being successful. I'm not saying i don't make mistakes, in fact i make more mistakes then being successful, but the good thing is that I always learn from them. What I mostly like learning about science is Galaxies, Planets and Moons, but if I had to choose one it would be Galaxies. What I like least is... well I like it all, it's all interesting. <-- except rocks they dont interest me.
